LANSING, Mich. — State Sen. Jon Bumstead welcomed the MHSAA Division II state championship football team from Mona Shores to the state Capitol on Tuesday.

Head Coach Matt Koziak led the team to the state championship, beating out Detroit Martin Luther King High School on Friday, Nov. 29 at Ford Field to lock in the title.

It is a true honor to have them down here in Lansing. They did a phenomenal job representing their community. Go Sailors!”
